UTC Chip

This system uses progressive scan CMOS image sensors that offer a full range of high definition features. This includes a wide dynamic range that allows you to capture images in both bright and dark areas, digital noise reduction that reduces background blur and digital wide angle correction to maximize the picture’s field of view. Additionally, this camera also supports ICR filters for day and night viewing.

The UTC chip enables you to control the camera options using the OSD push button on the cable or remotely via a DVR that supports the protocol. These cameras are ideal for upgrading existing analog CCTV systems over coax cabling. The uncompressed video signal can travel farther than HD-SDI or network IP cameras without losing quality.

UTCs are created by etching silicon wafers until the desired thickness is reached. This process requires precise control of the etch depth, temperature and pressure to obtain the required result. These factors have a significant impact on the performance and reliability of the UTCs.

In addition, the thermal properties of UTCs are also important to consider as they are much different from conventional bulk Si chips. For example, the thermal conductivity of 100 nm Si is only half of that of undoped bulk Si. Audio-Over-Coax

HD-over-Coax systems allow the transmission of high-definition video and audio on existing coaxial cable infrastructure. AHD was developed by Nextchip, a chip design company, and is capable of pushing uncompressed real-time HD images over up to 500 meters using equalizers. It also supports a wide range of legacy analog cameras, including 960H and standard definition. AHD does not support PTZ camera controls, menu settings or remote focus/zoom control.

HD-CVI was created by Techpoint, a semiconductor company, and was released in 2014. It can accomplish up to 500 meters of uncompressed HD video over UTP cable, is compatible with most 960H and standard definition analog cameras as well as many 1080P analog cameras. It also provides bidirectional transmission of control signals, allowing for more camera control flexibility.

Remote Control

The cameras come with 2 connectors: a BNC plug for video and a DC power plug for 12VDC. The power supply can be run through an adapter near the camera or with a central power supply unit.
