This allows the display to automatically switch to the proper Color Gamut for any displayed image content within the Wide DCI-P3 Color Space that has an ICC Profile, so images will appear correctly without over-saturated or under-saturated colors.

The screen on the iPhone 13 Pro Max also has a Higher 120 Hz Refresh Rate, which is a very fast display response time that allows fast changing images to be displayed with a smoother and more fluid experience. When viewing the display on a flat surface, the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s display performs very well with a Viewing Angle of 30 degrees. While LCD displays typically experience a 55 percent or greater decrease in Brightness at a 30 degree Viewing Angle, the OLED display only shows a 24 percent decrease.

The OLED display also has a higher peak brightness than most LCD displays, which is important for displaying very bright tones in photos and videos. In addition, the display’s Diamond Pixels and Sub-Pixel Rendering produce very high contrast, making images appear sharper than can be resolved with normal 20/20 Vision under typical viewing conditions. This high Contrast and Image Sharpness combined with the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s very low Reflectance make this display one of the most visually pleasing and accurate displays we have tested to date!
